Transportation by grain carriers
GRAIN TRUCKS
Is your field full of wheat, sunflowers’ heads drooping, and bean pods drying up? It’s harvest time. Tractors and combine harvesters are out in the fields, and you are faced with the question of how to transport wheat, seeds, and beans? Of course you need a grain carrier. It is indispensable transport during reaping.
TYPE OF BOX. For a farmer grain transportation will always be an important issue. A grain carrier is a trailer or semi-trailer with a body for the transportation of grains without containers. The body of a grain carrier is a tank, container or hopper specially made of aluminum or steel, so the grains do not oxidize on the way. There are such machines:
- Flatbed grain carrier. The most popular transport. The truck has an open body. It can carry up to 20 tons. The truck is not equipped with a self-loading system.
- Grain carrier-truck-train. The same as a flatbed grain carrier, only it has two bodies. It can transport up to 30 tons. When transporting grain in any open body, it must be covered with a tent. This protects the cargo from rain and scattering on the way.
- Tipper grain carrier. Takes on board up to 30 tons of grain. It has an open top. Saves time and money on unloading, because it unloads itself like a dump truck without the help of manual labour. Covered with a tarpaulin.
- Grain carrier-tank. The safest grain carrier. A closed body reliably protects the wheat and other grains from moisture, dampness and scattering on the way. This grain carrier is unloaded through the hopper at the bottom of the body..
DIMENSIONS. Payload – from 17 to 30 tons.
Body volume – from 20 to 90 cubic meters.
Length – 8 to 13 meters.
Width – 2.43m.
TYPE OF GROWTH. A grain carrier transports grain of the most different agricultural crops. It is not so easy to choose a grain carrier as it may seem at first sight. Everything will depend on the specific grains weight. There are so-called “light” and “heavy” grains. The first are millet, poppy, rye, barley, and mustard. The latter are soybeans, beans, corn, sunflower seeds. Grain crops are transported in flatbed and dump trucks. These are rye, wheat, barley. As well as corn, flax, buckwheat. It is recommended to transport rice, millet, millet, mustard and beans (beans, peas) in tanks. Soybean and mixed fodder for animals are transported in all types of grain carriers. Our transport company, which has extensive experience in the transportation of grain, will help you choose a grain carrier by the type of seeds or grains.
SAFETY AND COMFORT. It is not difficult to transport grain. There are no special requirements for their transportation. They are stored well and for a long time. It is necessary to keep simple rules, and it will exclude spoilage of grains. Thus, when loading the grain you should make sure that the body is clean and dry, and there is no extraneous smell. You should not carry grain infested with pests, wet or damp smelling, contaminated with coarse earth or stained with machine oils. It is unacceptable to mix dry and undried grain. It is strictly forbidden to transport damp or soiled sunflower seeds.
BENEFITS. The grain carrier is a seasonal vehicle and is only needed during the harvest. It is difficult to adapt it for other transportations. It is expensive and unprofitable to buy such an expensive truck for seasonal work. It is better to rent a grain carrier for the period of harvesting. You can do it in our company.
ATTRACTIONS. Transportation of cargo by grain carriers is mainly demanded on the spot. International delivery takes place between CIS countries and the Baltic states. Grain is transported from Ukraine to Poland, from Romania and Bulgaria to other EU countries.
DOCUMENTS. International shipment of any grain in a grain carrier is possible only if it is accompanied by a certificate of origin, a sanitary certificate and a certificate of quality. These documents must be provided by the producer.
